Report: subHuman party with Alan Wilder in Berlin

I informed you few weeks ago about upcoming subHuman release party with Alan Wilder himself in Berlin. What I didn’t tell you that was the fact I received also one invitation. And because Recoil.cz isn’t only my work I asked for other admissions for my colleagues. In the D-Day, August 3rd, we departed to Berlin. In front of the White Trash club we found tens of fans from almost all part of Germany. Except us we met also one crew from Poland.

Small club was full in very short time. One of the guests was Steve Naghavi, singer of And One. Unusually there was no official welcome or greeting. Alan appeared about midnight and he was surrounded by fans in blink of an eye. He patiently posed, signed booklets and smiled at all sides. The bodyguard had to protect Alan against pestering fans in few moments. There was no chance to get ahead during few minutes which Alan spent with fans.

You needed special V.I.P. card for meeting Alan in the backstage. Unfortunately non of us had it. But thanks to StrangeM’s gift of the gab and thanks to Sabrina from Mute Records we were admitted behind the scenes at long last. We were led to Alan right away. Alan was great. He frankly smiled to everybody, he was interested in everything around him and he looked modestly and radiantly. We also talked, of course primarily about Recoil.cz website. I was really happy Alan remembered the old versions and noticed current new design. We also talked about subHuman release party in Prague and about Recoil music in general.

Alan crossed the club once again. And again with great interest of fans. And it’s all for now. I would like to thank: Dennis (depechemode.de), Sabrina (Mute) and all the organizers
