The third dead-line for Jezebel

The first announced term for release of new Recoil single 'Jezebel' was August, 7th. While Alan informed on Shunt the delay to the August, 14th, yesterday Mute announced the third dead-line to August, 21st.

The second release taken from Recoil's much acclaimed Liquid album will be the fire and brimstone tale of Babylonian whore, 'Jezebel', featuring gospel stars The Golden Gate Jubilee Quartet as well as additional contribution from avant-garde diva Diamanda Galás. Mute will release 'Jezebel' on 21 August 2000.

Released as a 4-Track enhanced CD, the package includes a dub remix of 'Jezebel' by Slick Sixty and Roger Johnson. 'Electro Blues For Bukka White' originally appeared on 1992's 'Bloodline' LP and has been reworked by Alan Wilder and PK. 'Black Box' is the as yet unreleased but much in demand full 14 minute version.

The 'Jezebel' release also includes a promo film directed by Richard Bell.
